I used the gnome-system-monitor but could see anything in it.
I tried running the command

while it was loading the directory, but it returned nothing usefull

I used an ugly solution to get rid of the popups:
sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/notification-daemon/notification-daemon

Hi,
Same thing is happening to me (Leftfield Leftism CD). I've just
installed libgnomevfs2-extra and that does not change things. If I get a
chance later I will try and do the backtrace thing.

P.S. Ho do I make this thing work with mp3 files (in really easy words :-)?
I am going to close this because two people both say it's fixed with
ekiga 2.0.9 which is included in gutsy. Unfortunately Ubuntu does not
bump packages except with major problems. So your best bet to fix this
is to upgrade to gutsy (when it's fully released).
