On Windows calculator, they have red and blue colors on button, to make them
look different, so its easier to use.

I was having this problem consistently after rebooting. My first login
attempt after a reboot would always fail with the the dreaded There was

This problem seems to occurs randomly.
Restarting X corrects the problem.

I can confirm it on Kubuntu 7.10 (upgraded from 7.04).
If I use Fn Key down it shows the popup volume bar going down till 0%, but
doesn't affect the volume.
If I use Fn Key Up, it shows the popup volume bar, but that bar can't go upper
than 11% volume, and doesn't affect the real volume.

Here we go again...
I tried to create a sub-folder in my personal folder /home/main user: personal
folder/ (right-click in icon view Nautilus explorer) and Nautilus didn't like
it.
Fails to read the folder content and display any desktop icon.

I have one IMAP4 account and two POP3 accounts. If I exit evolution
with the On This Computer inbox selected it works fine on startup.
The dialog boxes only appear if I leave it on the IMAP account inbox.

I solved it - I think the problem occured when I change the icons from the
gnome-look website to some cool ones. Here is what I did just in case someone

I forgot to state by distribution, I am using Ubuntu 7.10 with Compiz-
Fusion enabled, TexLive, the Gedit plugin for LaTeX. Evince still
exhibits the same behavior even if I open the DVI file from the command
line instead of from Gedit.

I can reduce the occurrence by setting gnome-panel to always group the
windows. Now it only freezes when I open the eighth application in one
workspace. Closing some windows and running killall gnome-panel fixes
