I've edited the /etc/papersize (changed letter to a4) and tried to print PDF
file from evince, however printer still complains that is wants 8x11,5 paper in
the tray.
Is there anything else I can do to have a4 as default? I've attached the

I can confirm this behaviour with gutsy. I am using debian/etch postfix as IMAP
server. Moving mails (to another account) sometimes just flags them as deleted.

I didn't get around to putting my workaround into my PPA. :( However,
upstream now has a fix committed to their unstable branch, so there
should not be a need for the workaround any more. Perhaps the unstable

At least as of Hardy Alpha 3, this bug seems to be fixed on my system.
Right clicking on Filesystem provides a nice graph of free and used
space. (but only for the fs mounted on /). Upstream also seems to think

I'm adding information here in case it may help in determining the cause
of the problem:
This morning one of our Samba networked Ubuntu computers had the error
message:

after closing gnome-appearance GUI window it stay open using 80 -90% of
cpu for as long as I let it run, usually I have to open terminal and
killall gonem-appearance or top -U ... and then kill by PID.

Should have been... do you have a stacktrace available? OTH, this is a
race, and it might not have been fully contained. I *know* I could not
repeat it -- which means at least my scenario was taken care of --, but
other scenarios may exist.

There are risks -- users can add in-path executables to the system,
making it easier for an exploit to be leashed against the user. A

latest updates). However, I believe that gtk-window-decorator is
actually crashing, not evolution or metacity. In fact, if the bug
reporter has selected advanced effects from the Appearance tool, they
are most likely running
