Actually, the package was tested by many and reported to work; it is
true that without the patch the bug is not here, however notice the
patch is not intended to solve this bug, but another one (having to do
with tearing), so this is not strange.
Are you sure you didn't someway take the old

I don't have the file here right now, but it is a valid postscript file
that Gimp (and ghostview) are able to open.
The problem doesn't occur only for this file, it occurs for all
postscript files on that computer.

Apologies to you, this turned out not to be a bug but config settings problem
within the system sound settings. I selected the ALSA mixer and now all works.
Altho I'm still unsure as to why the other sound apps worked but rythmbox

I and many duplicates can confirm this.
Put in a DVD and click Copy in nautilus. The medium gets unmounted (that is
correct). But if I click Cancel the medium must be mounted again, which
doesn't happen. Also after creating an .iso it does not get mounted again.

this is intrepid amd64 on a asrock conroe 1333dvi/h. I have tested the
energy save mode in the power settings. The machine switch off the
screen, the board gone a complete crash with lost of bios fan control

If this was put in, I would want a way to disable this feature. If I
pause my music, lock the screen, and walk away for a few minutes, I
don't want someone else to be able to resume my music and go to a
different track.

If I press the power button while the screen is locked, the Shutdown
the computer menu comes up (but behind the screen lock - I have to
unlock the screen to see it). The bad part is that it informs me it will
log me off in 60 seconds, so that means that someone could log me off
