Yes, it is reproducible, but I don't know exactly what circumstances
trigger it I'm afraid. Today I managed to reproduce it immediately after

we should better keep working on and iterate to improve and
I strongly suspect this is a unity bug and not an empathy one, I've had
the same thing, and then the window has appeared after I for example
switch workspace.

Ok, found that /usr/bin/rsvg has been removed by upstream, yet imagemagick is
still calling it:

Yes, however I'm beginning to suspect it's not a gedit issue. In
Oneiric it even affects nautilus - simply right click -> rename on a
.desktop file also does the weird modification.
