I've rolled this back to the previous working version, 3.36.1-1ubuntu2.
People who have already upgraded and received this version will *not*
get automatically downgraded. Please run (should work shortly, once the
mirrors catch up):
sudo apt install gnome-settings-daemon=3.36.1-1ubuntu2
Thanks, Daniel... I don't know as I run Firefox rather than Chromium.
Let me fire it up and play with it for a day or two and see if I get the

Disabling Nvidia GPU (RTX 2080) and using Intel GPU doesn't produce the
issue. Not sure about Nvidia nouveau drivers. But nvidia-driver-440 has
the issue.

More of an FYI but you will get a "Software caused connection abort"
error anytime Nautilus tries to connect to a SMB / Samba server that
only uses SMB1.
There is no SMB1 ( NT1 ) on the client ( or server ) side in Ubuntu20.
There is in Ubuntu 18.
SO either enable SMB2/SMB3 on the diskstation or
Intel GFX dev has a branch that works:
git://github.com/vsyrjala/linux.git dp_downstream_ports_6
Will backport the branch once it hits upstream.

I can't see a problem in that screenshot or the logs. Maybe consider
attaching a video instead?
