Twenty years later and this is still unresolved? Going to System Settings > Input Devices > Keyboard > Advanced > Swap ESC and Caps Lock is a piece of cake. Then going to System Settings > Input Devices > Mouse there is nothing for changing e.g. Wheel Down > Screen down Wheel Up > Screen up

[Bug 1936769] [NEW] [Braswell] HDMI not working properly

You have been subscribed to a public bug: HP Pavillion desktop 2015 ufei date. Never turned off because boot takes too long. Screens (2) turned off system left on when not in use. Up to Ubuntu 19 and early versions of 20 both screens came back on. With latest update HDMI does not restart. If

[Bug 1917514] Re: Add support for AVIF images

2021-07-18 Thread Jeremy Bicha
gimp 2.10.22 supports AVIF. It is available in Ubuntu 21.04. Ubuntu 21.04 is not a long term support release, so you'll need to upgrade to 21.10 later this year and then to 22.04 LTS next year to get back to a Long Term Support release. Or you can try installing the snap release of gimp.

[Bug 1935581] Re: evince no longer shows bookmarks for DjVu files

2021-07-18 Thread Bill Yikes
** Description changed: Evince used to have no problem showing bookmarks when viewing a djvu file. Version 3.22.1 was fine. Now evince version 3.38.2 just shows a blank pane for bookmarks. I'm not sure if the bug is in evince or in djvused, so the bug report is mirrored for each

I mean the error at the top of this bug: > Failed to post KMS update: drmModePageFlip on CRTC 93 failed: No space left on device can only happen in Wayland sessions. So I assume this bug is about Wayland sessions only. If that is incorrect then let us know. The crash report in comment #7 does

Yes Ubuntu and GNOME sessions are really the same thing, just with different themes. My only suggestion would be to finish testing: sudo apt install unity-session sudo apt install xfce4-session sudo apt install cinnamon-session so that we can rule in or out 'mutter' being the cause here,

Confirmed. It's because desktop-icons-ng is actually an application window. There are custom hacks in mutter to make it look like a desktop window. Only Xorg sessions have proper native support for desktop windows. So it looks like those custom hacks in mutter (and maybe gnome- shell) need some

It is intentional that the screen lock is inhibited (temporarily disabled) when watching a video. That may happen if you're listening to music too, and is probably intentional. It sounds like you are requesting that your screen automatically lock when you switch to a virtual terminal. As a

Thanks for the bug report but this is not a bug. The login screen always exists separately on VT1 (Ctrl+Alt+F1) to your desktop on VT2 (Ctrl+Alt+F2). And the desktop is not meant to lock immediately. It should do after some period of time, but won't "if you were listening a web radio on Firefox"
