I booted Ubuntu Feisty Herd 4's Desktop CD. When I click the
Applications menu and then under Accessories click Terminal and
basically do stuff on the shell (like run top, for instance), fonts
appear to be a bit fuzzy in Gnome Terminal
I am using a Geforce 2 MX 400 64MB AGP video card and it is at 1024x768
@ 85hz when I boot the Desktop CD.
I have attached a full-screen screenshot of top running inside gnome-
terminal.

When I boot Feisty Herd 4's Desktop CD, in the middle of the gnome
login, my display goes to sleep. Wiggling my mouse when it goes to
sleep wakes the display back up just fine, though. When I go into the
Control Center under the System menu and look at the screensaver
I no longer have this problem in Feisty's Herd 5 that just came out
recently.

I just got the same issue with my upgraded box (from 9.10 to 10.04):
When pressing the volume keys on my Cherry Stream keyboard, CPU consumes
100% and I'm not able to input anything anymore. Mouse control works
however. If I switch over to tty1 and back to X with CTRL+ALT+F1 the
keyboard works
Some updated magically cured my system: Now the volume/mute keys all
work as they did in 9.10. Thanks to the one who bugfixes this!

machine where lots of people log in to it someone could maliciously pre-
create such directories for other users resulting in at best denial of

Observing same issue on Ubuntu 16.04 (after upgrading from 14.04 where
same problem was appearing).
I consider that this effect is also there if you lock the screen manually.
Same workaround works:
- (lock screen manually; re-login says "wrong password"
- try to login as another user with wrong
It also breaks games from Steam in full-screen mode. For example,
Counter-Strike 1.6 fullscreen window become minimized after layout
change. Ridiculous.

i didn't see your comment and i just changed the project to gnome-shell
instead of openssh b/c it does the exact same thing when using seahorse
as ssh-askpass provider instead of ssh-askpass-gnome. But i guess
seahorse needs a desktop file too. :) thanks for the info and the
workaround. will
