When going to the Print dialog, none of the CUPS printers appear and the
dialog freezes.
When going to the Print Setup dialog, all CUPS printers appear, but
selecting any of them freezes Evince.
As a result, printing in Evince
Please note that Evince does not crash. It simply freezes.
Print works as normal in Gedit, which uses a similar print dialog.

Since switching to Hardy beta, I noticed that the centered and zoom
options for background desktop images no longer work as expected.
Instead of zooming on the image or centering it, the image ends up shown
at actual size and left-aligned. This breakage has been verified on
Confirmed.
Centered should show the image at full size, centered, which implies
that part of the image might end up outside the desktop area. This was
how it worked until recently. Now, the image is indeed full-sized, but
left-aligned.

It however seems that a regression was introduced: icons no longer show
in the notification area at all. Instead, the broken icon icon

This is because the GTK patch hasn't landed yet
The issue does not affect releases older than Natty. Everything was
rock-solid until Maverick. There is nothing to backport. What's more,
the issue still isn't fixed in Natty, because whatever builds the icon
cache during the [postinst] in ubuntu-mono is broken.

Actually, ubuntu-mono 0.27 doesn't solve this either. I'm still missing
icons in GDM and in my standard GNOME's notification area.

Since this morning, I can no longer log into my development laptop
running Natty. GDM's greeter log says something about display :0 being
One important detail: clicking on any user shown in the face browser
immediately makes GDM crash. Attempting to manually input the user and
password by using the Other... entry produces the same result.
