Hi. I'm afraid Xine is the same - 100% cpu and dropping lots of frames. Also, if it is relevant, Totem refuses to open directly and only opens when a DVD is inserted into the drive. I had noticed that others have reported this, but many say it was fixed in an update - that update didn't fix mine.

I did try changing the default video from 'auto' to 'xv' in the totem config file, but it made no difference. I suspected something related to the video driver. I do not know enough about xorg or the trident card to work it out. I haven't installed anything special - no fancy compositing etc. Any

I have dual boot set up on my computer for Ubuntu 10.04 and WinXP. Using the GPLv3 Windows program InfraRecorder I am able to burn a CD at the following speeds: 16x, 8x, 4x, 2x, 1x. Using the same CD tray when booted into Ubuntu, Brasero only offers 16x burning speed. -- You received this bug
