I was switching resolutions to test a website, and noticed my computer
got sluggish everytime a new resolution is applied. The current
workaround for me is to switch to /dev/tt1 (or any other terminal) and
then get back to X.

Okay so actually, this is an ATI/Xorg issue. I disabled the proprietary
driver, and it works fine, both with gnome-display and xrandr. Now, with
the proprietary driver (that I just enabled again), even xrandr slows
the computer to display, ran without arguments.

Please find a way to solve this. No security at all, call-for-donations,

Well, I finally managed to make idle working, after
installing/reinstalling from PPA, killing some processes and so... Can't
reproduce anymore, I switched to Lucid and it works well.
I'll try to make some further tests with idle, sorry for not providing
info on that bug and thus making it
