Unfortunately I haven't used f-spot often recently, but I've just tested
it now and it seems to work fine even with the updated kernel
(2.6.24.17).

The patch fixed it, but now I get 4 updates, the same I've just
installed. Well, it actually looks that I've applied the patch to older
packages... the updates are 2.22.2-0ubuntu2, while the patched are
2.22.2-0ubuntu1.
I did apt-get source gnome-desktop. Where did I go wrong?
Sorry, but it's
It's fixed with 2.22.2-0ubuntu3. You've been was very quick, thank you.

Of course implementing a setting in gnome-mouse-touchpad would be
desirable and I don't understand why they don't. KDE has a nice GUI
configuration tab.
Anyway, a quick workout in Ubuntu Natty, working in squeeze as well, is
to add a tiny script in autostart, working per user:
synclient
Sorry it should have been:

Title:

Affects me too is not a proper statement here. It should rather be no
set up option available. It affects gnome, but not kde. In Kubuntu, in
fact, it is possible to change settings in System Settings.

For some unknown reason I've lost the three finger tap that now doesn't
seem to work on my eeepc 1000H anymore. Two finger tap and scroll still
works fine.
Also, I'm not sure if this is an Ubuntu or a Gnome bug as it looks as it
is affecting other distros (e.g. fedora). As I've already said
I don't think tree-finger is that difficult: it just requires a bit to
get used to. Also I do use two-finger tap quite a lot, so... I'm biased.
1-2-3 for me! From reading around it seems to me that the majority would

Also, if it can be of any help, kubuntu lucid _has_ the ability

Thanks for all your work on this annoying bug/feature... Myself I'd hope
to have a choice!
Anyway, as you may know, a simple script in startup fixes or, better
said, works around, this choiseless gnome choice at least in natty as it
was doing years ago:

I've found this issue occurs with Chromium when running 11.04 32-bit and
Classic desktop. You can add it to the startup applications and it may -
or may not survive a reboot.
Here's how I tested it. I opened the main menu applet, went to
