Screenshots using the PrtScn key do work in a a Wayland session on 17.10. I
just tested it again:
PrtScn = whole screen saved to Pictures/
Alt+PrtScn = current window saved to Pictures/
Shift+PtrScn = select a rectangle, then saved to Pictures/

Thanks for the explanation. I think it should be handled by the Ubuntu
developers that a corresponding screenshot tool is mapped to the Print-
Key for each Session, be it Wayland or classic X. Regular Users simply
expect this feature to work OOB.
