I installed gnome-software-common_3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.7_all.deb,
gnome-software_3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.7_amd64.deb and ubuntu-
software_3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.7_amd64.deb. I cannot locate the original
deb which cause the problem but I tried robert-ancell's test package
before and after the new packages. I can confirm the bug is fixed for
me.

Accepted gnome-software into xenial-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-
software/3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.7 in a few hours, and then in the
-proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package.  See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed.Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

- in Nautilus, gnome-software opens to install the file. However, the file
- size is incorrectly listed as over 18 exabytes (!) as per the screenshot

- from dpkg-deb and gdebi is as per http://termbin.com/32q7 .

- The deb package installs correctly with dpkg -i. I cannot attach the

- install file was unpacked by innoextract. The deb was created by game-
- data-packager version 44.

It was an overflow (using an int to try and fit the value). This was
fixed upstream in 3.22.
