[Bug 1785060] Re: Evince cannot open cbr-files based on rar v5

2020-09-25 Thread buggycub
This is what I get using the terminal:

$ evince TheCartoons.cbr
Killed
$

And between the command and the final "Killed" are many, many minutes. During
that time, evince shows an empty page, just "loading, loading, loading, ...".
Typical suicide ;-)
It gets me that what works so well in 18.04 is such a mess in 20.04 :-(

[Bug 1785060] Re: Evince cannot open cbr-files based on rar v5

2020-09-22 Thread linuxcub
"Expired" is a bad change! With Ubuntu 18.04 I could read any CBR file with
Evince. Just installed Ubuntu 20.04 and Evince cannot do it any more!
I have a workaroud, but is this necessary to install Kubuntu's okular? These
are quite some packages!
Does "expired" mean, I will never be able to read some CBR files with evince?

Thanks, siggi2

Could you also maybe include an example to the bug?
