lol, ok i'm in Windows (yuk, its like a recurring nightmare) and it

typo - where i said 'file system' i meant 'file-browser', obviously and

Pedro: I think he means that when you save as something from firefox,
the dialog window does not say how big the file is or how much space do
you have left.

Firefox is where i first noticed it but it seems to be prevalent -
almost every package i try has the same lack of information. If it
happened with one package and not another then i would have noticed it
sooner and written the bug report to that particular package. The fact
that you haven't

Ok, in the 'Save Image' i have circled 2 good spaces to use, the lower
one that i have drawn an arrow to is the one that other file-browsers,
such as explorer, use.
