We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. This bug was reported some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time. Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) reached end-of-life on May 9, 2013. Does anyone still see a problem related to the one that was reported when using a currently supported version of Ubuntu? I found a workaround in case anyone's interested. By redirecting stderr to a file. It would be something like: gnome-open myfile.pdf 2 FileWithAllTheWarnings rm FileWithAllTheWarnings Doesn't fix the problem, but at least you can now open pdf files from the terminal without getting all those warnings.
