Seems to be a problem with gnome-settings-daemon's clipboard plugin.
I can reliably reproduce the theme issue by opening Opera, putting some
text in the clipboard using Ctrl+c, and then closing Opera. However,

and Settings' on the iPod Touch), re-activating the device using iTunes

I use WICD as the network manager (because network manager does not work
on my MSI Wind clone. I can connect to internet ( I am using it now) but
Evolution insists I am not connected to the internet. Presumably because
it is looking for a connection via Network Manager.
As the reporter has mentioned, the problem is not with the subcategory
name, but with the category displayed below the game tile on the main
screen, as Role-playing is displayed there instead of Role playing (note
the separating character: '-' vs ' '). See the screenshot showing the

Under KDE w/ qtcurve tooltips
Experiencing same horizontal and vertical line spikes utilizing two
Genius Mousepad 8x6 tablets on both 386 and AMD-64 Ubuntu 11.10 machines
utilizing latest NVIDIA 280 drivers and GIMP Editor. Confirm that
disabling the Extended Input Devices stops the problem. However, without
