I use gedit to edit remote files which are mounted via sshfs. When I save such

Clicking at the 'Appearance' button in the control center when in

Sorry SiRiusCb but it doesn't change anything on my system.
/sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness keeps 10 as value. /etc/rc.local is
nevertheless executable.
What did I miss ?
