installer overwrites system libraries and does not follow Debian
packaging/filesystem policy. You should not install the nvidia drivers

This occurs for me (Intel Ivy Bridge, HD Graphics 4000, Saucy) even
without opening multiple or large images. Any operation on any one image
makes the Gimp global menu unresponsive for seconds, or permanently. I
also get a spike in unity-panel-service CPU usage.

I rebooted my computer (at which point it was fine) on reboot nothing
that requires akonadi works.
I cannot access any of my email or my calendar which is pretty important
to me.
Everything hangs on starting Akonadi server...
