believe, so we should probably comment out the load-module module-udev-
detect line on all images that use audioflinger.

13.04 with 3.11-rc3 from kernel-ppa and bug doesn't happen here. I can update
my bios (it is 1.07 currently) and test it with 12.10 and 13.04 with standard
kernel, but this will take some time.

The problem with screen freezing seems to be solved when I set
/proc/sys/vm/swappiness to 0 (probably 10 also will be fine).
And I should note than in my case of screen freezing mouse cursor also stops
moving completely. Such freeing lasts from 1 second to ~10 seconds.

OK. I had never enabled automatic click.
Now I have opened the system settings, entered the Universal Access
section, and selected the Pointing and Clicking tab. On this tab I have
now turned on Simulated Secondary Click and then I tried again on the
desktop background. Independent how I adjust
I still hit this bug on a routine basis. I'm quite surprised it hasn't
been raised to a higher priority. Are users who are not geeks expected
to know how to handle this when their machine boots to a tty console?
The bug was reported in 2011? I'm just dumbfounded.

Agreed. I'm running the latest 13.04 Ubuntu and am still getting
weather-indicator 12.07.30 installed by default.
