Hello,
This printer is detected in Ubuntu/CUPS, however it will not actually print
anything succesfully. It prints about half the page and then has an error and
stops printing altogther leaving the page in a half-inky mess. The printer
works perfectly on Windows XP etc.

MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=1.4 to the /etc/environment
is a big help on restoring desktop action. This netbook + external monitor has
been running ubuntu fine since 10.10.
The downgrade to 1.4 workaround causes a different code path in Unity
to be executed, and that uses a much simpler blur function. It looks
OK, but to the expert eye it doesn't look near as good. Don't ask me
what the difference is: it all looks blurry to me even with my bifocals
on.

This is still a pretty giant problem for me. If you select a new
message entry in the indicator applet, the launcher entry just wiggles,
demanding attention instead of foregrounding the window. Pidgin isn't
the only app to do this, Thunderbird does as well. It all used to work
in 12.04 as well,

it looks like it is a temperatureproblem (Lenovo X201T, Ubuntu 12.04.3
64Bit).
Im use ThinkFan for my Lenovo X201T to optimise the Temprature-FAN-Control,
because Ubuntu 12.04.3 64Bit
crashed some times dependent from CPU-Temperature.
After optimizing the FAN-Control Ubuntu 12.04.3 64Bit
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Hi,
Following is the tail of the syslog with printouts from the prints session.
It took a while to reproduce, the log includes 2 successful prints on the DYMO
printer, the 3'rd was cut again and than restarted from the middle of the
sticker.
The OKI printer wasn't stuck this time...
