case of Qt4 not installed) does not work. The user has to run hp-setup
-i so that hp-setup runs as normal user and asks for the password for

key compination which makes it kind of a temporary workaround and not a real

Happens on Thinkpad t42 with Ubuntu 12.04.03.
With alsamixer - 'F6' - 29 ThinkPad Console Audio Control I can see
current level of hardware mixer and that hotkeys are working (I can also

Super+Space works for me (but not every time), and I can't set my

cursor flashing. What I do now to avoid the hang is roll the cursor
around the screen until it stops jerking about. Then I enter my
password. So far this has been successful.

Also noticed if I log in via terminal as a domain user, stop lighdm, run
startx, desktop comes up (but no indicator panel on bar.)
I should have also noted in the previous post I was on 13.04 and it
worked fine, and didn't have any problems until upgrading to 13.10.

I have same crash problem using ubuntu 12.10 and rhythmbox 2.97, looking at
rhythmbox -d.
