Getting this as well on 16.04, but only recently. Started happening
about 4 months ago. Mine is worse because I can open it up and start
working on it. Sometimes I'll be on it for like 10 mins before it
finally shuts me out and makes me login.

I too am affected by this bug.
It is intermittent for me, and not immediately reproducible, however I
was able to reproduce it and grab some journalctl lines via SSH if it is
at all helpful.
I should also add that I have set gnome-tweak-tool -> Power -> Suspend
when laptop lid closed -> Off
And
I see that the status here is "undecided". Somebody that is interested
in having us continue to use Firefox should be very interested. This is
annoying enough that I've been using Chrome more often, and I hate
Chrome.
We shouldn't have to hunt for the scrollbar handle. On long pages the
scrollbar
journalctl -f via ssh, showing opening and closing the lid while in this
"frozen" condition.

Both on 64.0.3282.140-0ubuntu0.17.10.1 and on

Nautilus 3.10.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 started hanging both on "Delete File"
