Mouse cursor works when frozen. Actually, it looks like psensor does hang until the system starts to come back. It does show a spike (of unknown amplitude) in CPU usage (tenfold) and CPU temperature and there is an audible increase in fan speed. Top/gnome-terminal also freezes. top -d 1 -p
