Michael, Yes. I was running 10.something, then 11.04. I usually wait a year before upgrading anything. Microsoft trained me to be cautious, as they seem to let the users do their major debugging. I want to be paid for that! But, Apple and Linux also have problems with upgrades and bugs. In

One more thought... I haven't quite given up, 'cause I think I'm close. I can unpack the rpm drivers and programs. I just don't know what to do with them after that. ./configure doesn't do anything. /make doesn't do anything. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, Dan PS I really liked and used

Vielen Dank, Michael! I will check the list, but in the meantime, please understand that I used SimpleScan with this same scanner just fine with Ubuntu 11.04. It was not until I upgraded to 11.04 that I encountered this problem. I did find drivers on the Avisys (?) and Epson sites... e.g.
