I'm not familiar with how Ubuntu manages the kernels but given that 11 days ago
it was picked up by Luis then it should probably be rolled out to all
Does this still happen with the latest kernels? A similar patch was
accepted into the mainline and got picked up by stable release
maintainers.

line to /lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules

I have Xerox Workcentre 7232 and this printer doesn't work with default
recommended Ubuntu driver - Xerox WorkCentre 7232 Foomatic/Postscript
[en] - printer prints Postcript source instead of printer test page:
