When trying to execute the ubuntu-software-center on Xubuntu 14.04.3,
the application gets stuck in the loading faze and then terminates
itself. Tried multiple times to open the app, same result. Updated and
upgraded the system, nothing changes.
To Reproduce:
Update Xubuntu
p howto for all variants of ubuntu
and an advanced configuration file for the vino-server to modify how
it runs and behaves.

I see gvfs-trash file on Xubuntu. I read the gvfs-man page and found this
paragraph,
trash sends files or directories to the Trashcan. This can be a
different folder depending on where the file is located, and not all file

I am still experiencing the same issue with the beta2 image. Lubuntu
gets to the splash screen and crashed. Cannot switch to the tty
terminals.

I found a way to disable the nouveau driver. Go to /etc/modprobe.d
directory and open blacklist.conf in a text editor. Type:
#nouveau
blacklist nouveau
This will stop thd kernel from loading the module. You will not get the
resolution ability but is stops the flickering.
