I'm using Xubuntu "jammy" and added my Canon MG5150 printer. The adding
process somewhere complains about missing software (small "notification"
in upper right edge of desktop). After klicking on "search" (or similar)
a "software" window opens and tell it doesn't find the

since 2020-08-27 the secondary display (1600x1200) (attached via analog
vga cable) of my Thinkpad-T60 model 2007-qpg (ATI Mobility Radeon X1400)
does shows some pinkish content on the right fifth.
Unattaching the display, using the laptop display does work, but mouse

+ Primary problem here was the combination of xfce-compositor with an slow
graphics card (mga).
+ Disabling the compositor setting in xfce did it for me. Disabling showing
window content on resize+move makes things faster on this

after upgrading from 13.10 to 14.04 (xubuntu, amd64), Xorg uses 100%, overall
reaction is slow and mouse pointer is flickering.
