I did not use selinux. It was vanilla ubuntu, I suppose.

context unchecked "Showmenu Menubar" but Menubar visible on startup
Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:

Then selecting/Checking "Show MenuBar", does nothing (its shown already).
Then again, it really hides (as should be in the beginning) and the menu point
is unchecked.
Seems as if the menubar visibility is bound to the manual menu selection
(instead of reading from settings)

After some update/upgrade to recent oneiric packages the issue is
resolved. Crashes do not appear instantly any more.
