Which program are you using to record your piano?
I use Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)
Is it recording directly from alsa? or by using pulseaudio?
I guess that by using pulseaudio. How can I record directly from alsa?

@Raymond I forgot to tell you that I use a splitter to split the COMBO
jack in two: line in (the one the comes from piano) and line out
(headphones).
The icon represents a microphone.
