Jim Stokes, this is more likely a compiz/unity issue, given that it's
reproducible with more than one program (I've personally experienced
this behavior in gnome-session-flashback+compiz).

I haven't noticed this occurring with other programs, just noticed with
LIbreOffice Writer and Chrome because I often write in one window and
watch a streamer on the other.
I would say that it is consistently reproducible.

The install worked. Then I ran the report and clicked send in the

I get this message when I run what you asked: You need to run 'sudo
apt-get install python-apport' for apport-collect to work. When I ran
the 'sudo' command as directed, I got a bunch of errors, so your command
still did not work.
According to Ubuntu Software Centre, I have apport installed.
