unhelpful.

I’m glad the pip thing works, and if you have no problems that way, no
need to change.
But if you do see any issues, try the snap version of deja-dup, just
because I also fixed a separate issue with

Upgrading to 19.10 also broke my backup. Danesh's workaround works for
me as well. I tried the pip/Python2 version, but that didn't work.

On 19.10 myself. My workaround was to install pydrive with pip.

Well 19.10 came as an upgrade to my machine and broke the Backup. Looks
like PyDrive is not a package that could be installed from apt
repositories, so I'm stuck without ability to backup\restore files,
which is sad.

Yes correct - ideally Ubuntu is able to package up pydrive. But in the
meantime, you can use the snap which should work.

The reason they moved away from GOA is the new google requirement for
api keys and GNOME stated they would like third party to stop using
their key
Note that deja-dup also has a snap which might not have that issue
