Thanks for the bug report. Next time the problem happens instead of killing gnome-shell with signal 9, please use: kill -ABRT ... That should create a crash dump that is a snapshot of the freeze. Please then upload it using the following command: ubuntu-bug /var/crash/YOURFILE.crash Please
