same here on all my Ubuntu 12.10 machines. for now removed gvfs-fuse and installed cifs-utils, created entry in /etc/fstab like //192.168.30.1/filestore /media/shares/filestore cifs username=someuser,password=somepassword,_netdev 0 0 and works perfectly. Thanks Kanehekill for that
