The strange thing is that I just replaced that broken CRT with the new
LCD monitor. Just disconnected the old monitor and connected the new
one. Boom, high CPU usage :-(. I didn't install any new software, etc.

Okay, I found out that my $HOME/.local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/easy-
install.pth had /usr/lib/pypy/lib_pypy in it, which was breaking things
(particularly cffi-related things) pretty well.

AMD hybrid video. Fglrx drivers are not installed, so it's effectively
an Intel HD4000 Display adapter.
Displayport monitor randomly blacks out, usually during load (playing
videos, audio, or both).

you need to enable trace points to trace the hda_unsol_event which is
triggered when you plug and unplug any jack

The hd-audio driver gives a few basic tracepoints.
`hda:hda_send_cmd` traces each CORB write while `hda:hda_get_response`
you need to find out whether the problem is fixed by using early
patching to disable trigger sense

When CONFIG_SND_HDA_PATCH_LOADER=y is set, you can pass a patch as a
firmware file for modifying the HD-audio setup before initializing the
codec. This can work

0.6.35-0ubuntu1.

Touchpad works out of the box on Ubuntu 14.04 with linux
3.13.0-20-generic
This was the xinput output with the old kernel 3.13.0-19-generic:

Just to let you know that the touchpad is now working properly on
Lifebook A512 with Ubuntu 14.04 and linux 3.13.0-20-generic.
