I downloaded the development version of 14.04, one issue that I've
experienced so far is that the fade in of the greeter after resume from
suspend is very slow. I have opted out on the fade in/out effects in
compiz configuration settings, why do I get fade in/out for the
just happened to me on trusty and the apport retracer duped my report to
this ticket. I don't have any information how to trigger this bug, but
for me it also happened on the next login after I did a general package
update.

installed (13.10 64) - i do not know any way to close that sidebar
forever, that is very annoying to me, since i don't use it, but it eats
up a place on the screen, especially since two-panel was removed i'm
trying to workaround
vesa's multimonitor support is not a thing that's fixable, really. Use
nouveau.

sometimes I'm getting stuck in what I think is called exposé view in
unity (have a look at the screenshot). I double click on a program icon
on the launcher and since it has two or more windows open they are
spread out. Then, sometimes, no matter I do, I can't get out of
Daniel's solution in Comment #9 solved the issue for me when I today
upgraded from Kubuntu 13.10 to 14.04.
As of April 6th, the akonadi-server package 1.12.0-0ubuntu1 still
triggered the exact GID issue as was reported in comment #8.

The vesa driver does not work well here (too much screen tearing) so I
had to approach this by installing Lubuntu Saucy and then handling the
