The 4K external screen is flickering when doing light activity -- easily
reproduced when using an X terminal.
Steps
So this update should be backported in to prior releases as I can
confirm that it does now fix the problem, I think that it didn't work
for me immediately because of a local issue on my system caused by
something else earlier.
