Network Connectivity
This issue has been bothering more of a hundred users for more than a
year. In my case there was a workaround at some point, by downgrading
openvpn to an older version (can't remember which).
Being so prevailing and old, it is quite disgraceful that this is not
being addressed on Ubuntu 16 LTS.
We have been hit by the same bug. For us, it mainly affects Calc. Sadly,
removing libreoffice-gtk* also removes libreoffice-gnome, which we rely
on to have access to SMB-based resources in our internal network.
This is a show-stopper for us.

When cutting coping a file (by selecting it and clicking "Cut" or "Copy"
on the context menu or by using the Ctrl+X or CTRL+C shortcut) nautilus
becomes unresponsive for several seconds. I cannot even move the

Not sure what happened or whoever did the magic, but the problem is gone
on Ubuntu 16.04, somewhere between the end of August and the first two
weeks of September. Moving images are as fast as it used to be (and
should be). I tested moving 1,000+ JPG files several times and it
happened instantly.
Unsure why that was added to the artful list, software-center is not
used there and gnome-software is using packagkit and not aptdaemon now,
setting as notfixing for this cycle

After upgrading the package gdk-pixbuf to 2.36.10-1 (artful-proposed) the tiff
files cannot be opened any more.
For example Eye of Gnome claims the file type tiff is unknown.
Downgrading to the artful release version 2.36.5-3ubuntu1 solves the issue and
tiff's are OK.

On Ubuntu 17.10 (daily build, VirtualBox), gnome-shell uses lots of
memory, even more after opening and closing just a few apps (LibreOffice
Writer, Chromium, Nautilus.) More than 640 mb.
Also,the CPU usage is quite high too, even if nothing is running in the
foreground.
