g_thread_init() and friends have been deprecated since glib 2.24 and now
removed in 2.31.x. This causes some packages to FTBFS.
The fix is to replace g_thread_init() with g_type_init().

This is a usability issue which doesn't impact functionality.
If it were as simple as that then changing the priority should not in
itself alter the ability to recreate the bug. The fact that after
changing the priority to normal and then back to very high makes the
problem

There's no more output. I can add to it that it does not exit, but it
becomes unresponsive to any click.
Additionally prior to the freeze, the Ubuntu dialog pops up with Ask
