This appears to have been fixed in Mesa some time by 12.10. Last time I
could reproduce it was in oneiric (Mesa 7.11) but can't reproduce it now
in quantal (Mesa 9.0). Given the comments on this bug kind of stopped
around April, it could be that the fix was released in Ubuntu 12.04 with
Mesa

Why is importance set to low?
Because of this bug, ubuntu 12 with touchscreen is a NOGO!
BTW. maybe this has something to do with the: Coordinate Transformation
Matrix Bug. Using this (absolutely neccessary) setting leads to uncontrolled
cursor movements and unusable desktop.

I tried this again today after receiving the 'expired' notification, and
the subscription worked. Perhaps some other system update or reboot
fixed this. Not sure if i should leave this as Expired or mark as
Invalid.

This is happening to me in Ubuntu 12.04, during a regular upgrade since
I installed monodevelop (aldough it may be an update performed this same
day).
I guess the key is /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/default doesn't exist.
Does it make any sense to touch it , and then retry the upgrade? will

I'm experiencing this issue on ubuntu 12.10 (it seems this bug carried
on from 12.04) on a Dell Inspiron 14z. The fn+f1 combo doesn't bring
the display switching dialogue and now that you guys mention it it seems
to be sending the super+P combination. What is the recommended fix right
now? Or is
