This is a bug, and also a fix.
The Wi-fi LED doesn't light in any circumstance, but this is not a problem,
since the LED only lights in Windows 8 after installing the requiered drivers.
In Windows 8 the Wi-Fi Fn key works by switching airplane mode ON/OFF and it
works right

sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
Find the line with:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=splash quiet
and modify it to look like this:

I am experiencing some of the same problems as reported by Hife above.
The disabled network problem doesn't happen every time I wake my machine
up, but on some of the occasions when it does I also find that sleep is
disabled from the menu and from the function key, although I can still

Newer Versions of libglib2.0-0 (2.38.0-1ubuntu1, saucy salamander, aka
13.10) causes eclipse/swt to crash.
This is bug is triggered from an 'official' eclipse install. I haven't
tried the eclipse that comes with ubuntu because it is not what a
professional java programmer

In almost freshly installed Ubuntu 13.10 nothing happens if Show in
folder clicked for downloads, both clicking bottom panel dropdown menu
or clicking link on chrome://downloads/.
Related: #606544, but it is old and that report says that opening files
does not work too.

same here, too. Did an upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10 and all the menus are
very slow (gimp, libreoffice, etcetera). the ugly solution is to disable
the global menu stuff from unity.

Wine doesn't find 32-bit OpenGL drivers

When I open cheese, click the video icon, and Record a Video the display
for the video/display output for the webcam freezes. The video is then
never recorded and I am unable to also take pictures unless I restart
cheese. This problem did not occur in Ubuntu 13.04 - which is
