Unfortunately fixing this at this point would be disastrous for muscle

I can confirm that the bug is still present on Ubuntu 12.04.
After the updateupgrade, evince still takes a minute to start up, and
it is unusable. Same GRIP-WARNING messages. Same version of libgeis and
libgrip of post #38.
