I got it also in recent version, you need then to go to system software
update, and then it is now working. But from a user perspective, not
good.

Debian unstable has 45.0-2 (https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/adwaita-icon-
theme). However, since the package currently has an Ubuntu delta
(41.0-1ubuntu1) someone need to figure out if the package can be synced
or need to be merged manually with the additional changes.

For information, the bug is still there in Xubuntu 22.04.3.
Note: The error message ('Prepared update not found' does only display in
Gnome-software after launching the window 'Update manager').
