lack of ctags or cscope support I wrote a simple script using the
external tools plugin to make it use cscope. I opened an upstream bug
report [1] to get it provided, but no joy so far. I have been

When I am editing a file in gedit and it is updated outside of the
editor, gedit normally warns me of this. An exception is when I
overwrite the file with a mv command at the command line with an older
file. gedit probably needs to track backwards timestamp changes as
well.

Yes, eth0.1 is a VLAN. It is defined in /etc/network/interfaces:
auto eth0.1
iface eth0.1 inet dhcp
I also tried another syntax:

I don't know much about the working of vlans either. I simply use them

I had a brief look at the network manager source code that is in the
Ubuntu repositories. While I am no developer, I do see that there are
numerous references to VLAN in the code.
I also see that
hoped, one could at least activate or deactive the VLAN connection with
nm-applet. Editing configuration would not have been necessary.
So, at the moment, am I right, that there is no other way than entering
nmcli con up id VLAN1
whenever I connect the cable?

For me this makes HUD unusable in Firefox 13.0 (and 12.0 before that). I
do have 748 bookmarks in 133 folders.

option=acer). There is NO documentation about options of the ALC275
chip.

On Quantal all of these packages are marked Multi-Arch: same except
libxrandr-dev. A quick look in the .deb files show that the MD5 sums of
all shared files are the same between i386, amd64, powerpc and both
arms. Could you please fix this?
