[Desktop-packages] [Bug 713860] Re: 1st terminal opens at 80x24, subsequent open at 80x22 [classic desktop]
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 915241 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/915241 Actually this bug wasn't fixed in precise. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.1 with GNOME Classic and Compiz. The behaviour is exactly the same: first opened terminal have the size of 80x24, all subsequent terminal windows are 2 rows less. I've read the description of the bug #915241 which is marked as the duplicate of this bugreport, but I think that this duplicate status is wrong, as I've got versions of libgtk-3-0 = 3.4.2-0ubuntu0.5 and libgtk2.0-0 = 2.24.10-0ubuntu6, both of them are more recent than the ones mentioned as fixed, but the problem persists. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/713860 Title: 1st terminal opens at 80x24, subsequent open at 80x22 [classic desktop] Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal This odd behavior started showing up a few days ago. I'm using the Ubuntu classic desktop (with metacity). I generally have two terminal windows open when I'm coding (I have a 2560x1600 display). When I open the first terminal, it opens at the default size of 80 columns x 24 rows. But subsequent terminals will open at 80x22. If I close all terminal windows, behavior starts over - 1st terminal is 80x24, all subsequent are 80x22. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 873712] Re: Lack of GstMiniObject means Gst.Message is broken, can't get EOS signal
Could fix be backported? The hang up is that currently you can't get EOS signals from a pipeline, and that the message bus is overall broken. As far as I know, this is because pygobject doesn't grok the GstMiniObject type, which mean Gst.Message is an unknown type. There is an upstream bug with a patch (work in progress): https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=631901 I'm not sure if this would be too invasive a change to deliver to Oneiric users through a SRU, but this would help smooth the transition to PyGI (and possibly only shipping Python3 on the CD) for Precise as app devs could be working with PyGI and GStreamer right now on Oneiric. For what it's worth, this would really help Novacut. Either way, lets make sure PyGI + GStreamer rocks in Precise! (Side note: this also raises a question... GStreamer 0.10 or 1.0 in Precise?) Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 849600] Re: gnome-screensaver crashed with SIGSEGV in g_main_context_dispatch()
There is one way to temporary fix it. Start gnome-screensaver in console, and you can lock the screen. But unfortunatly, screensaver segfault after unlock the screen. 18.09.2011 22:57 пользователь Jeffrey Tees 849...@bugs.launchpad.net написал: No Screensaver set, Screen seems to blank anyway after about ten minutes, no way to switch it off in Settings. When playing a video, even when the player is set to inhibit screensaver during playback it blanks anyway. Don't know if this is related to this crash which occured after swiping the mouse to bring back the screen but it bugs the hell out of me so thought I i'd mention it anyway... -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to a duplicate bug report (852053). https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/849600 Title: gnome-screensaver crashed with SIGSEGV in g_main_context_dispatch() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screensaver/+bug/849600/+subscriptions -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/849600 Title: gnome-screensaver crashed with SIGSEGV in g_main_context_dispatch() Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Opening a new bug because this seems to be the first Oneiric beta1 instance of the bug.
