I've got the same problem , and I think it started occurring after the
update to Precise . My case is syncing to SD card (on an Android phone
(WFS) ) . Sync hangs or directly crashes , also making a playlist on the
device crashes RB .

In Oneiric the new version of the control center doesn't automatically
add for example the Nvidia control center or CCSM , as it used to in
Natty . I don't know if it's intended or not , but it's definitely not
improving (and by that I mean it's worsening) the service .

settings has fixed components (icons) , but why , why change the
previous system that autoupdated , whith one that needs additional work

Than you for your answers . I did some more searching (as to where to
address my vision of why it is so wrong to have things that way) , and

emphasize it more , but I'll just say it - it's important to have a more

Well CCSM and Nvidia control panel , and a bunch of other applications
aren't at all random , but external control centers to system components
. And yes - the menu is not locked ,but the integration with it is
needlessly complicated . What more than a .desktop is needed in order to
integrate into

Now on clicking the [X] on the window Thunderbird quits . I'm pretty
sure it would be much better to have TB hide on clicking the [X] (much
like Rhythmbox does) , because I (and maybe many others) prefer having
TB in the background .

The relatively same problem in Precise : the key binding through G-C-C
or CCSM-Gnome-launch terminal (apparently the corresponding entry) ,
just don't work . A custom key binding in ccsm of course works (for
gnome-terminal) , since there is no problem with the app itself . My
system is up to date
