I'm using 12.04 64bit latest

Linux xps-Dell-System-XPS-L702X 3.2.0-65-generic #98-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jun 11
20:27:07 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
on a Dell XPS L702X (this has a builtin Intel graphics and the GeForce
GT550M card.)

but can you help/guide me to what needs changing then? what drive do i remove?
and how/where do I get another driver from?
or my best possible course of action?

Hello Christopher,
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I have since upgraded to 14.04
LTS so cannot provide the debugging info you require.
I'm pretty certain(?) I have still had the problem - but much less
frequently than 12.04 - since upgrading to 14.04...
If I definitely get the black
