I should clarify - after removing the 29-language-selector files, the
warning regarding the 29-language-selector was gone, but the warning
regarding the 99-language-selector files still existed. Removing 99
-language-selector-zh.conf files did away with the related warning.

I had not rebooted, but I did after seeing your most recent question,
and the problem still existed. After removing 29-language-selector-
zh.conf under both conf.d and conf.avail directories, the problem also

Oh, nevermind. After a bit of searching and examination, I finally
discovered that my wi-fi was turned off in my BIOS under "onboard
devices". It's odd that that being the case did not cause wi-fi to be
inaccessible in previous distributions, though.

This issue has now been resolved for me. I discovered via this question:

settings problem.

Every time I restart my system, the keyboard shortcuts that I added
during the previous session get lost, and usually set to "Disabled". Of
the three shortcuts that I have added to my keyboard shortcuts, all
three get reset to "disabled" each time I do a complete restart. The
I opened keyboard settings > shortcuts > navigation and set "switch
applications" shortcut to Alt-Tab. I wonder if the solution is that
simple for everyone else...
