I thought the whole point of an LTS release is that nothing major breaks? Really disappointing to do an apt-get update and break my laptop :( I have a GeForce 310M and this is the only supported driver. What is the likelihood that the patch from comment #2 will make it into the mainstream patch cycle for 16.04 repositories? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-340 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1737750 Title: nvidia-graphics-drivers-304 304.137-0ubuntu2 ADT test failure with linux 4.15.0-1.2 [error: implicit declaration of function ‘init_timer’] Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-304 package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-340 package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Testing failed on: amd64: https://objectstorage.prodstack4-5.canonical.com/v1/AUTH_77e2ada1e7a84929a74ba3b87153c0ac/autopkgtest-bionic-canonical-kernel-team-bootstrap/bionic/amd64/n/nvidia-graphics-drivers-304/20171212_030744_5105c@/log.gz i386: https://objectstorage.prodstack4-5.canonical.com/v1/AUTH_77e2ada1e7a84929a74ba3b87153c0ac/autopkgtest-bionic-canonical-kernel-team-bootstrap/bionic/i386/n/nvidia-graphics-drivers-304/20171212_014232_5105c@/log.gz To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-304/+bug/1737750/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1573563] Re: Toggling full screen mode does not work well after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04 from 15.10
Any ETA on a fix? This is preventing me from upgrading to 16.04. I'm happy to try any patches that need testing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1573563 Title: Toggling full screen mode does not work well after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04 from 15.10 Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I use tons of terminal windows (gnome-terminal) all the time for various tasks. Thus, it's important for me to be able to go into full screen mode (F11) - if I need more attention or space and switch back later. I haven't got any problem with this in previous Ubuntu versions, after "switching back" from fullscreen mode, I got the terminal window at its original place and size. However, after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04 recently, if I press F11 to switch back, the terminal window is enlarged to cover almost the full desktop, it's not "full screen" anymore (that's OK), ie I can see panel, borders, etc, but still it's not the original size and position of the window. So I have to manually resize the window all the time. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1561784] [NEW] Gnome terminal does not revert to normal window after F11
Public bug reported: To reproduce on 16.04: - Start a normal terminal - Press F11 for fullscreen mode - Press F11 again The terminal window will be maximized instead of returning to it's original small size. This is really quite inconvenient, as I use this feature all the time on 14.04. I hope this is fixed before release. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 16.04 ** Tags added: 16.04 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1561784 Title: Gnome terminal does not revert to normal window after F11 Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: To reproduce on 16.04: - Start a normal terminal - Press F11 for fullscreen mode - Press F11 again The terminal window will be maximized instead of returning to it's original small size.
