Is there a bug bounty somewhere that I can contribute to?

I thought the whole point of an LTS release is that nothing major breaks?
Really disappointing to do an apt-get update and break my laptop :(
I have a GeForce 310M and this is the only supported driver.
What is the likelihood that the patch from comment #2 will make it into the
mainstream patch cycle for 16.04 repositories?

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1573563] Re: Toggling full screen mode does not work well after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04 from 15.10

2017-07-06 Thread Eggsome
Any ETA on a fix? This is preventing me from upgrading to 16.04.
I'm happy to try any patches that need testing.

Title:
Toggling full screen mode does not work well after upgrading to Ubuntu
  16.04 from 15.10

Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I use tons of terminal windows (gnome-terminal) all the time for
various tasks. Thus, it's important for me to be able to go into full
screen mode (F11) - if I need more attention or space and switch back
  later.

I haven't got any problem with this in previous Ubuntu versions, after
"switching back" from fullscreen mode, I got the terminal window at
its original place and size. However, after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04
recently, if I press F11 to switch back, the terminal window is
enlarged to cover almost the full desktop, it's not "full screen"
anymore (that's OK), ie I can see panel, borders, etc, but still it's
not the original size and position of the window. So I have to
manually resize the window all the time.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1561784] [NEW] Gnome terminal does not revert to normal window after F11

2016-03-24 Thread Eggsome
Public bug reported:

To reproduce on 16.04:
- Start a normal terminal
- Press F11 for fullscreen mode
- Press F11 again
The terminal window will be maximized instead of returning to it's original
small size.

This is really quite inconvenient, as I use this feature all the time on
14.04.

I hope this is fixed before release.

** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
